LegalPal UK is a LegalTech start-up that is missioned with ushering in a new era in the Democratisation of Law.

 

Individuals and Litigants in Person face many issues when understanding their rights in everyday life - which defies the purpose of the constitutional rule of law.

 

These issues lie in, understanding: 

• Legal-ease

• The expansivity of rights provided by broad legislation

• How to voice their legal position in court.

LegalPal hopes to bridge these gaps using Machine Learning and Generative AI.

Importantly, another issue inherent in the legal sector (primarily as it relates to free-market economics) lie in Price Discovery, LegalPal will soon be introducing a new product to fill this market inefficiency:

Individuals who wish to speak to law firms do not have the access to the price discovery that one would have when shopping for any other good or service (e.g: price of eggs, haircuts, etc).

 

One has to complete a consultation with a law firm to get a substantive price quote. ​The requirement to book a consultation with a law firm to get a price quote deprives consumers of access to price discovery because most individuals do not have the time to book a consultation with 20+ law firms to find their best option.​ LegalPal intends to create a new marketplace so consumers can book one consultation with LegalPal and get price quotes from numerous law firms at once.

Finally, this product will fill 2 purposes:

• It allows Law Firms to contact individuals in need of legal advice no matter of their location. This product allows high street law firms to quickly become a quasi-national entity reaching people across the country. This serves as a brand-new marketing strategy that is SRA compliant

• It will also fill 'legal deserts' where affordable legal advice or legal advice of sufficient quality is not accessible due to an individual's geographic location. It will allow individuals to find and work with law firms all over the country from the comfort of their home or office.
